The Orangutan Conservancy is proud to announce our new and improved Wild Adoption Program. This adoption program is in partnership with the Orangutan Kutai Project (OKC) and the Kutai National Park Authority to help support and bring awareness to wild orangutans’ conservation.
What is a Wild Adoption?
The adoption of a wild orangutan helps support OKC in protecting and studying this endangered species. In addition to this, proceeds from wild adoptions help fund the monitoring and patrolling of the orangutan’s habitat in collaboration with the Kutai National Park authorities.
What’s new?
The new and improved wild adoption program comes with exciting new OC items! Every physical wild adoption of an orangutan costs $130 USD and includes each of the items pictured in the photographs below.
NEW! -Physical Packet
- Adoption Certificate
- Photo of Orangutan
- Adopted Orangutan’s Story
- Official OC Enamel Pin
- Official OC Sticker
An adoption packet makes a great gift for a friend or family member who loves animals, and is an educational and exciting way for classrooms to fundraise while learning more about orangutan conservation issues.

As a fellow donor to this organization, on behalf of my friends and I, we just want to thank you for what you do. We have been drawn into the orangutan community after watching the documentary on Peanut the orangutan and the tragic story of his life. So we just wanted to reach out to thank you for what you do.
Thank you for your support, Justina!
