“The People of the Forest” by Mark Edward Harris

The very talented, award-winning photographer, Mark Edward Harris has recently released his new book, The People of the Forest. In this book, Harris focuses on orangutans and their uncertain future with their rapid population decline.

Mark Edward Harris graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with an M.A. in Pictoral/Documentary History, and started his professional photography career doing the photographic stills for the Merv Griffin Show. After this show ended, Harris traveled to S.E. Asia, China, and Japan for four months. The photographs he took on this trip brought attention to his documentary photography, and his assignments have taken him to over 100 countries on 6 different continents.
