Eric holds a B.A. and M.A. in Evolutionary Anthropology from California State University, Fullerton, where he served as an officer for the Association for Primate Evolutionary Studies (A.P.E.S.) and participated in the Southern California Primate Research Forum in 2019.

Starting his career in zoo education, he transitioned into the nonprofit sector in 2019, specializing in fundraising, program development, and strategic partnerships. He has served as a director of development for multiple nonprofit organizations, leading fundraising initiatives, event planning, and cross-sector collaborations.

He currently supports the Orangutan Conservancy’s mission by expanding outreach efforts, increasing public engagement, and developing revenue strategies to fund conservation initiatives. His work focuses on strengthening digital engagement, building partnerships, and leveraging creative approaches to raise awareness and support for orangutan conservation.
