Orangutan Haven Video Update

This update from Dr. Ian Singleton of SOCP provides a visual status report of the progress of Orangutan Haven.

The Orangutan Haven will provide a long-term refuge for unreleasable orangutans currently residing at the SOCP’s orangutan quarantine center. Most orangutans at the center can be released to the wild at one of two SOCP reintroduction centers. To date the SOCP has confiscated more than 270 illegal pet orangutans and over 190 of these have been returned to the wild, establishing 2 entirely new populations of the species.

The Orangutan Conservancy is pleased to be able to help support this important project.  Please join us in making Orangutan Haven a reality in the near future with your donation.
